Description:

This adware may be dropped by other malware.

It may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web site(s).

It accesses Web sites to download and execute a file which is detected by Trend Micro as ADW_FAKEAV.O. It is a rogue antispyware application that may give exaggerated reports of threats on the system affected.

The user is then prompted to pay for a full license of the application in order to remove the fake threat.
