This adware may arrive in a system by being dropped by the malware TROJ_SCTHOUGHT.C, or by being manually installed by a user.

It may arrive in conjunction with the adware ADW_STC.A.

This adware program installs a new toolbar in the Web browser of the system.

It carries out the following tasks:

• Downloads and installs other adware programs, some which are as follows:
  • Lycos Sidesearch
  • ClockSync
  • keenvalue
• Opens free advertisements sites
• Modifies Internet Explorer's home and search pages

It runs on Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, and XP.

This adware includes the following services for a user:

• Downloads and installs other adware programs, some which are as follows:

  • ClockSync
  • keenvalue
• Opens free advertisements sites

It also modifies Internet Explorer’s home and search pages to point to the following Web site:

http://www.popnav.com

As an adware, it may cause unwanted events for the user when browsing, generate extra Web traffic, and send other user information to the adware site.
