This spyware usually arrives as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites.

Once active in memory, it is capable of the following functions:

• Monitor Web sites visited by an affected user
• Send spam messages, such as special offers and advertisements
• Access Web sites that are capable of modifying Internet browsers' search and startup pages
