Malware Overview

This VBScript may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites. It may be hosted on a Web site and run when a user accesses the said Web site.

This is the Trend Micro detection for files containing malicious VBScript that attempts to download and execute a certain file from a malicious URL.

It creates a Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC) object, then attempts to access a URL to download a file. The downloaded file is then executed on the affected system. Note that this VBScript does not contain the download URL in its code.
