Description:
This is a proof of concept worm that propagates via Microsoft Outlook. It arrives in an email as a .PDF file attachment with an embedded Visual Basic Script (VBS). If the computer that receives this attachment has an installed version of Adobe Acrobat, and the .PDF file annotation is double clicked, the embedded VBS file executes. Acrobat Reader alone cannot execute the embedded file. From an infected computer, this worm sends emails with a PDF attachment to no more than 100 recipients in the BCC: field.
