Malware Overview

This worm uses social engineering methods to lure users into performing certain actions that may, directly or indirectly, cause malicious routines to be performed. Specifically, it makes use of MSN Messenger to send copies of itself.

It may be downloaded from remote sites by other malware. It may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites.

It sends copies of itself to target recipients using the instant messaging program MSN Messenger.

It opens ports to connect to an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server. It then listens for remote commands. The said commands are executed on the affected computer, compromising the affected system.

It displays message boxes. It creates mutex(es) to ensure that only one instance of itself is running in memory.
