Infection Channel 1 : Propagates via email

Description:

This worm arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or a malicious user. It may be dropped by other malware.

Upon execution, this worm drops a copy of itself. It then registers itself as a system service to ensure its automatic execution at every system startup. It does this by creating registry key/entries.

However, this worm requires other components in order to run properly.

This worm propagates by sending email messages to predetermined addresses with links that redirect browsers to Web sites that contain a downloadable copy of itself. It does this routine using its own SMTP engine, therefore it no longer requires other email applications, such as Microsoft Outlook.
