Description: 

As of 2:39 AM, March 8, 2003 (US Pacific Time), TrendLabs has received numerous inquiries from France, Germany and Japan about this new malware.

This mass-mailing worm arrives as an attachment to an email message, with varying subjects and message bodies, that is either written in English or German.

It searches for target email addresses from files with specific extension names.

This worm also deletes files with the following file names:

  • dllxw.exe
  • rundllw.exe
  • 1111b.exe

Note that certain WORM_DUMARU variants have dropped files bearing the same names.

This malware runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP.
